This weekend was full of big events. I would have to say the biggest of everything was the fact that on Saturday history was broken. ALL FOUR OF THE LA QUEEN PINS WERE TOGETHER. AT THE SAME PLACE. It was unbelievable and magical. We met up for brunch at the Mustard Seed in Los Feliz. Great and friendly waiting staff (which is one of my favorite things) and the food was absolutely delicious! The prices are good too. It’s kind of a too good to be true restaurant. If you do make it there, I highly suggest getting the potato salad as a side. To DIE for! We also saw Mr. Adam Levine (the lead singer of Maroon 5) there. He sat about 10 feet away and I watched him eat his lunch like a weird stalker. I used to have the biggest hard on for this man back in the day, so it was pretty awesome.
You can check out their website here and I suggest you stop by sometime.

Saturday night I volunteered for a phenomenal charity event called What A Pair. It is a night full of female celebrities singing duets and raising money for breast cancer research. My grandmother had breast cancer, so this event was very dear to my heart. I can’t tell you enough how good it is to get involved in volunteer work and really encourage everyone to look into it and do it. I have volunteered for so many events while I’ve been in LA and it is so rewarding and it’s a great way to meet amazing and kind people.
At the event I got to work on the pink (instead of red) carpet which was so incredible. I was helping the photographer with getting down shot numbers for people walking the carpet. It was so neat being right next to living LEGENDGS and so many females that were such a huge part of my childhood! And not to mention Patrick Wayne, JOHN WAYNE’S son! He sounded just like The Duke, and that’s a moment when I had to step back and say “Holy crap, this is my life? Yep, this is my life.” Here are some pictures form the pink carpet and just a few of my fave gals from the event.

Lea Thompson was my FAVE! I used to love Caroline in the City when I was little and let's NOT forget those darn Back to the Future flicks! (Photo Courtesy broadwayworld.com)

Anne Heche. I sat and talked with her Nanny and son Atlas for awhile. They liked me. (Photo Courtesy broadwayworld.com)

On Sunday my man and I headed to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. If you are not currently living in the LA area, you may not know that we have been experiencing the worst heat wave EVER and temps have been in the low 100’s and it’s been awful. So, we decided the aquarium would be a fantastic idea since it’s indoors. Well, did you know some of the aquarium is OUTDOORS? Like the shark tank which is one of the coolest things?! Uggg, it was miserable! And not to mention there was a Hispanic Cultural Day taking place there and it was extremely packed. I have seriously never seen so many strollers in my life. BUT, besides the fact it was ridiculously packed, and the kids and their parents were extremely rude and annoying, it was really fun! I had never been to that part of Long Beach before and it was really nice. If you have a day, I would suggest going, but make sure there are no events going on beforehand because it could be crowded.

In baby news, Keaton rolled over FOUR times in a row yesterday!!!! It was soooo exciting! She is seriously growing up so fast. I think by the time I get back from my trip she may even be sitting up by herself or maybe even crawling! It’s crazy how weekly she picks up something new. I’m going to miss the little lady while I’m gone…
Gone, you ask? Well, tomorrow I head back to the Midwest for the week. I’m excited about all this except for one thing: Getting on a plane. I don’t know why, but I’m extremely freaked out about this plane ride. Dying in a plane crash has always been one of my biggest fears, but this time I’m extremely nervous about flying. Maybe because life’s so perfect right now I’m afraid of risking my life by going 5 miles up in the sky in a huge mechanical beast that could fall from it at any minute. Alrighty, we need to change the subject. But since I will be back in the Land of Lincoln there will be no more post from me for the week! Sorry suckas, but this girl needs a break! That means no e-mails, interwebs (ok, maybe Twitter and Facebook), and I’m going to try to get some R & R in. Have a great week!
LUV,
Britt
