Without giving too much away, because trust me the reveal on this will be amazing I still wanted to post a little blurb about this weekend’s shoot.
As I said before, this was the 5th Craigslist MasterPiece Theater that Scratchframe shot. It takes place in a community arts class. I dressed it, so I needed to make easels. These were much easier/cheaper to make than to rent. Elliot and Gabe were generous enough to allow me to use Gabe’s super awesome little workshop in their garage. I went in there on Saturday and built 7 easels in 6 hours. It was so much fun. I hadn’t built anything in so long, it felt good to be manly again! Plus Gabe’s mini shop is too freakin’ adorable. I cranked tunes and sang along by my lonesome. Brittany and Christine stopped by to check on progress, chit chat and keep my company for a bit.
We shot at this amazing little gallery in downtown L.A.that Elliot found. It’s called R & R and the guys that work there are incredible. They’re super nice and accommodating. They seem to have some really great gallery openings, where they have DJ’s spinning and drinks. I’m hoping the QueenPins can make it to one of these events soon!
The full site isn’t up yet, but you can check them out here!

The shoot itself went really well. No major problems at all. We moved relatively fast and got some really hilarious footage. The actors were amazing and Kevin seems to be really happy with everything. I wish I could dish about some of the other things that went on but it’s too good to be spoiled!
When all was said and done, I had the Titanic theme song stuck in my head for the whole next day!
It feels really amazing to be able to be creative again. One day I’ll be able to do this all the time!
The adorable Eric Stolze with his amazing self portrait!
Showing off my Party Monster/Dinosaur! RAWWWR!(I doubled as an extra!)
That’s all folks, hope your week is off to a great start!
