My first Disney experience was not the best. I had to be around 3 or 4 years old when my parents first took me to Disneyworld in Florida. I was terrified of EVERYTHING. Haunted Mansion? Nightmares. Snow White? Holy moly. Space Mountain? It’s a roller coaster in the dark? HECK NO, I’M NOT RIDING THAT. Captain Nemo? IS THAT AN OCTOPUS EYE LOOKING AT ME?! WE ARE GOING TO DIE IN THIS WATER TANK!!!!
Not to mention half the rides we rode didn’t really work.
Splash Mountain broke down and we had to be escorted off of it. On Dumbo, my elephant wouldn’t go up! Guess my feather was a failure… Pirates of the Caribbean broke down and this is where I lost my cool and started freaking out. My mother said “Brittany, the pirates aren’t going to eat you!” Then a few years later this classic line was delivered by Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park. I’m still sure that the screenwriter was on the boat with my family that day and stole that line from my mother…

My first Disney experience. I didn't want to leave Chip or Dale. And why yes, I DO have a sweet mullet
My boyfriend and I ventured out to Disney yesterday. His roommate is an avid Disney fan and told him to go in March on a Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid crowds. Boy, did we! The longest we waited in a line was probably 30 minutes and that was for Peter Pan. We pretty much got to do every ride we wanted, too! It was so fun! I have to say, I probably appreciate it a little more since I’m a huge child at heart. But again, some of the rides are spooky! No wonder I was so scared as a kid…
By the way, there were so many chubby cheek cuties there yesterday! I wanted to pinch all their faces. Have I turned into a Grandmother?

Bry and I are the two eyeballs towards the back...

I LOVED Nemo because I love anything that has to do with the ocean. Even though this was fake ocean.

A boy and the "sea"

Dumbo Flying Elephants! And our elephant worked this time!

SO.MANY.STROLLERS.

It IS a small world after all!
Disney is quite magical. It transports you to a place where you don’t worry or care about anything. Go and forget what’s going on in your life. That’s what a fairy tale is all about, right?
